I have all my clubs 1/2 inch shorter from factory. For every inch you cut off you loose about 3 yards of distance but gain a lot of control. The only downside is you’ll most likely stand closer to the ball which could screw the lie angle up. Ask your person who will cut your clubs. I do highly recommend you getting them cut down if you are struggling with accuracy.
I am cutting my driver down. I hit with my friends which is about an inch shorter and I was killing the ball. With the driver I have I was slicing really bad.
