It all depends on you and your swing. Different clubs work better for some than do for others. Personally for me I like the feel and the way I play with Cleveland Golf clubs. Most people seem to like Callaway the best and others Taylormade. The best thing to do is contact local golf clubs/courses to see if there are any "demo" days scheduled. That is how I came across the Cleveland Golf irons that worked well for me that I eventually purchased. You’ll be able to try and sample out all different brands, models, and not to mention be suited with the help of a company salesperson for each brand. Also can’t complain about the contests they have at each event. My list on the top 5 are…
It depends on what you like, really. Here are my top 5
1.)Callaway
2.)TaylorMade
3.)Nike
4.)Ping
5.)Cleveland
If you are looking on what to buy, then you need to go to a golf shop that lets you hit clubs and pick out about 6 or 7 types of clubs and hit those. some will feel firm when you hit em and some will fell a little stingy (obviously you dont want those).
Taylor Made, Ping, Nike, Callaway, Titelist. No particular order really because it’s personal preference and feel. I play Nike driver, Sonartech 3 wood, Ping or Titelist irons, Titelist wedges, and a Ping Ug-Le putter.
This is reallly a very personal question and the reason is cause you really have to find out which one is the most comfortable for you to give to you maximum results. In any case, getting back to your question, they would be Taylor Made, Calloway, Ping, Cleveland, and Wilson. For the putter they would be Taylor Made, Oddessy, Ping, and Scotty Cameron.
My personal preference are the Taylor Made clubs and the Scotty Cameron putter. For the putter it’s the belly putter, and the reason for that is because I have terrible back ailments, and this kind of putter seems to be most natural to me. It gives me a natural pendulum swing when hitting the ball, and as a result I get a great short game. Also, I would highly recommend you in using the HYBRID clubs, and the reason for that is because it will make things that much simplier for you to use, rather than using the long irongs. Remember that it’s the results that count, and you have to do what is easiest for you. Finally practice as often as you can before you attempt to go on a golf course. It may be adviseable as well for you to take lessons. It really makes a difference. Remember one important thing, though, and regardless of what anyone tells you, you are the one that is golfing, and so therefore you have to be most comfortable in whatever clubs that you use.
