Final Fantasy 7 for PC cinematic black screen?

When I play FF7 on my PC I get a black screen during the cinematic introduction. I think we need to download DivX Player for playing video. If I am wrong and tell me if there is a better way to solve this problem I would appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.

You're pretty much right as the game uses the Divx or other programs video to run the video ……. not in him. Try Divx.
