I was wondering what golf club made that ping sound when you hit it?
This is an interesting question as one can not be sure if this reader is talking about a driver or a putter. Back in the old days, the Ping Answer Putter got its name from the “ping ” sound off the club head when you hit the ball. When it comes to the driver, most titanium drivers have a ping sound when you hit the club. Some clubs have a more shrill sound that others. Many manufacturer’s put a deadening fill inside the titanium woods to muffle the sound when you hit the ball.
